It’s dead easy to add a WhatsApp button to your website which, when tapped, starts a WhatsApp conversation. (There is a nice example on this pet sitters website: Nice and Cuddly).
The feature is called Universal Links and they look like this:
https://wa.me/<number>
Pretty simple huh?
But that’s not all. You can extend the URL to include a pre-filled message that will automatically appear in the text field of a chat. For example:
https://wa.me/?text=I’m%20inquiring%20about%20dog%20walking
